When it comes to the athletic footwear world, there are not very many brands that come anywhere near competing with the powerhouse that is Adidas. This is a brand that has really stomped the market with a might sense of design and that’s not easy to do considering how competitive the sports shoe industry really is. You can guarantee that if they make a shoe they are going to make it quite creatively because that’s the way they do business. After all, this is the same company that, back in the 80’s, brought the world a rather strange creation. The Adidas Adicolor came in a wooden box and it was simply a pair of plain white shoes. That was unique enough, but once you learned that there were paints inside, along with brushes, so you could decorate your own shoes, it all made a little more sense. People loved it then and now that the shoes have been brought back out, people love this concept all over again.
You can bet that when you see the Adidas Superstar you are looking at an iconic shoe because it’s doubtful that any other style of shoe has had an actual rap song written about it. That happened back in the 80’s when early East Coast hip hop duo Run DMC made a song titled ‘My Adidas’ defending their choice to wear this shoe on stage as well as in the streets. It’s a very cool tribute to an awesome shoe.
